Opt-Out Rights

Under the CCPA, consumers have the right to opt-out of having their personal information sold by businesses to third parties. It is mandatory for businesses engaged in such information sales to inform consumers about this practice and their right to opt-out. At Certified Credit, we do not directly send marketing communications to consumers, nor do we sell consumer information to third parties. If you wish to opt-out of credit offers and prevent Trigger leads generated by the bureaus, please follow these steps:

  • To stop credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) from selling your name as a trigger lead for at least five years, register for Opt-Out Prescreen at optoutprescreen.com. The request typically takes around five days to become effective.
  • Reduce telemarketing efforts by registering your name and phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from each phone number you wish to register. It usually takes approximately 31 days for the registration to become effective.
  • Opt-out of commercial mailings for a duration of five years by registering with the Direct Marketing Association's Mail Preference Service at dmachoice.org. There is a $1 processing fee. Please note that the effective date may vary depending on when your request is submitted since DMA updates its lists quarterly
